Certificate in Creative Media
The Certificate in Creative Media is a Level 4 qualification that provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the models, tools, and techniques used in the field of media. This course is designed to address the long-felt needs of media and creative industries and is developed and delivered in partnership with them. The course will develop students’ creative potential through an innovative curriculum that encourages them to become critical, reflective practitioners aware of the challenges and opportunities of contemporary media work. Enabling the learners to develop the competencies required to pursue careers in various fields such as marketing, media, filming and much more. Students will cultivate the attitudes, skills, and abilities essential for working in creative media environments, understanding how to work with cameras, direction, creativity, marketing, animation and much more. This course prepares students for further study at the Honours degree level.

Course Assessment
Assessment includes both structured and open-ended tasks, such as coursework assignments (which may involve creative problem-solving activities, media simulations, industry-based projects, filming, animation, individual and group reports, as well as traditional formats like essays and analytical assignments), media presentations, and reflective assessments (e.g., digital portfolios, creative journals, and peer collaboration activities).
Teaching Method
The learning is supported through various methods. Students will be engaged in media production sessions using the state-of-the-art media facilities. In seminars and workshops, students will plan, discuss, and analyze projects and reference materials, culminating in exhibitions and showcases of their work. An experienced team of media professionals and technical staff will provide guidance, while guest speakers and mentors from the media industry will enhance the student's experience, connecting them with current practices and trends within the creative sector.
